High School students in court over attempted arson

Eight students from Ntulele High School in Narok Sub County were on Friday arraigned in court for allegedly planning to burn the school.

The accused appeared before the Resident Magistrate Zainab Abdul after being arrested on Thursday night when the head teacher alerted the police that he had suspected the students’ intentions.

Preliminary investigations into the allegations saw three litres of petrol confiscated from some students who had planned to set the school ablaze.

Justice Abdul, however, ordered the police in charge to conduct thorough investigations to identify the ages of the students.

The case will be heard on Tuesday 19^th.
