Hillary Clinton condemns Donald Trump for attacking Fox News Megyn Kelly

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton condemned the “blood” comment by Republican rival Donald Trump on Monday, but said the Republican policies toward women are also outrageous.

“While what Donald Trump said about Megyn Kelly is outrageous, what the rest of the Republicans are saying about all women is also outrageous,” she told residents during a campaign stop in Exeter, New Hampshire.

“They brag about slashing women’s healthcare funding, they say they would force women who have been raped to carry their rapist’s child. and we don’t hear any of them supporting the minimum wage, paid leave for new parents, access to quality childcare, equal pay for women or anything else that will give women a chance to get ahead.”

She added: “Megyn Kelly is a strong woman and more than capable of defending herself against Donald Trump. I’m worried about what Republican policies would do to the rest of America’s women and I will continue to speak out and speak up about that today and through the rest of this campaign and in the White House.”

Republican candidate Trump has been under intense criticism for caustic comments he made about Megyn Kelly, the Fox News anchor who helped moderate the Republican presidential debate last Thursday (August 6). After what Trump viewed as hostile questioning by Kelly, he told an interviewer that Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever.”

His comment drew condemnation from other Republicans and prompted the organizer of a weekend gathering of conservatives in Atlanta to withdraw an invitation to Trump to appear at the event.
