Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti election nullified

The Appellate Court in Kisumu has nullified the election of Cyprian Awiti as Homa Bay Governor.

This follows a successful petition by former MP Oyugi Magwanga.

In the ruling, the court cited lack of merit in the appeal as the petitioner proved that there were irregularities in the 2017 polls.
