House help arrested for badly roughing up two year old
A two and a half year old girl was on Monday rescued by the public after she was being beaten up by a house help on the street of Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County.
The house help, who has been identified as Doricas Kemboi, is said to have worked for the girl’s family for the last six months.
Members of the public are reported to have rained blows on Dorcas after witnessing what she was doing but fortunately police rescued her from the mob that was baying for her blood.
According to eye witnesses, Dorcas had earlier on tried to throw the child from second floor claiming that the child belonged to her but the building’s security officer saved the child and slapped the maid.
The parents of the girl are both working in Turkana county government where the father is a chief officer.
The maid was arrested and is now being held at Eldoret police station awaiting to be arraigned din court.
