How 24-year-old Eric Tse became an overnight billionaire

He watches basketball with former National Basketball Association (NBA) star Yao Ming, his life appears to be on the first lane.

The 24 year old has now added a new feather to his cap; he has now joined the exclusive club of dollar billionaires.

Just recently, the man from Hongkong graduated from Wharton School of Finance.

And on Tuesday, CNN reports that he was gifted about $3.88 billion (Ksh.401billion) in company shares.

Tse will now own a stake at Sino Bio-pharmaceutical limited, a billion dollar pharmaceutical group founded by his father Tse Ping who together with his mother Cheng Cheung Ling are still executive directors of the company.

He will also be joining the company as an an executive director and a member of the Executive Board Committee of the Company, a position that he occupied on Tuesday.

The newly made billionaire however wants to keep his status under wraps and refused to be listed in rankings, a statement by the company said.

”There is no further information to be disclosed pursuant to the requirements of Rule 13.51(2)(h) to (v) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited,” the statement, referring to Hong Kong laws, said.

As much as he would like to keep his financials a secret, he does not apply the same rule to his lifestyle.

His instagram page opens the lid to a life of traveling around the world and socializing with the rich and famous.

In the past, Eric had served as the Chief Executive officer(CEO) of Liepin, a North American human resources organization where he has been credited with great success.
