How three-man gang posing as police escort for G4S stole Ksh.72M

Criminals posing as police officers on escort on Thursday robbed G4S personnel of Ksh.72 million in Nairobi West.

Sources reveal that the team had collected the cash from G4S headquarters on Witu Road with three men who appeared to be police officers.

A report from Langata Police Station said the cash was picked up at around 6am.

The imposters led them out with two vehicles; one leading and another at the back.

When they arrived at the Standard Chartered Bank ATM in Nairobi West, the G4S team called their headquarters for the password to reload cash into the machine.

They opened it and immediately after that the thugs turned on them.

The G4S personnel were told to surrender their phones before the thugs offloaded the cash onto a Noah vehicle and fled.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
