Huge traffic snarl-up on Nakuru-Eldoret highway after 2 Lorries collide
One person has been confirmed dead and another one seriously injured on Friday after a head on collision involving two transit goods lorries at Molo River bridge on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
According to Rongai OCPD Richard Rotich, the driver of one of the lorries lost control, causing the lorry to hit an oncoming lorry. One driver was killed on the spot while the driver of the other lorry broke his legs.
The accident caused a heavy traffic snarl-up from Molo River near Salgaa centre along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
Rotich says that more traffic officers have been deployed along the highway to help clear up the snarl-up.
He has also cautioned motorists urging them to exercise caution and maintain the required speed limit.
The injured driver was rushed to Molo hospital where he is currently being attended to.
