Hundreds flee Kuresoi after 20 houses are torched in fresh attacks

Tension is high in Narok County following fresh clashes that have left more than 20 houses torched in what has been termed as retaliatory attacks by warring communities in the area.
Hundreds of residents have camped at Olenguruone area of Kuresoi South after fleeing their homes in Olposumoru along the Narok-Nakuru border.
Members of one community are said to have launched the attacks avenging the killing of two herders who were shot dead on Wednesday by unknown people suspected to be from the opposing community.
Residents are now calling on the government to come to their rescue.
Narok MP Moitalel Ole Kenta has asked Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery to urgently look into the matter.
Ole Kenta said he will use two million shillings from the county’s emergency kitty to put up two police stations in the area.
