Husband brutally slashes wife before fleeing
A 27 year old woman is fighting for her life at the Provincial General hospital in Nakuru County after sustaining deep cut wounds.
The mother of three who hails from Kaptinai village in Baringo County was rushed to the health facility after her husband descended on her with a machete following a domestic dispute.
It is alleged that the victim, Everleen Tuitoek, fled her matrimonial home due to domestic issues.
Her husband then followed her and lured her to a nearby thicket, only to draw the machete and slash the woman.
Passersby came to her rescue, rushing her to Sinendet health centre before she was referred to Provincial hospital in Nakuru.
Sinendet Senior Chief Richard Kabergei said that the police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect.
Kabergei has further called on families to find more amicable ways of resolving disputes instead of violence.
