Husband stabs wife to death at bus terminus

A woman was stabbed to death by her husband as she walked to a bus stop in Kabarak over what is feared to be a family dispute.

Confirming the incident, Morop sub-location assistant chief Susan Kimaiywa said the deceased, Eunice Wangari was stabbed multiple times with a knife by the husband after a quarrel ensued in the early morning incident.

Wangari is said to have left the home at 7am headed to the bus terminals after a night long fight with the husband but he reportedly followed her and stabbed her countless times.

Mary Nyambura, an eyewitness said that she tried to separate the two but the deceased’s husband threatened to kill her.

Soin ward MCA Irene Jebichii, who also doubles as the Nakuru County Assembly Chief Whip, called on local security officers to stay on high alert due to the rising cases of insecurity in the area as cases of theft had also been recorded.
