I am not vying for governorship Embu MP Kivuti

Embu County Senator Lenny Kivuti has dismissed claims that he is planning to vie for the county’s gubernatorial seat come 2017.

Kivuti, however, said that he is still weighing his options as he considers what seat he should gun for in the next polls, adding that those who were making those allegations were free to speak their minds.

He was, however, quick to point out that he is open to any leadership post in the county, adding that unless his constituents persuade him otherwise, he is still firmly in the race for the senator seat.

Kivuti said that he was yet to find anyone interested in his position, conceding that it is still too early to predict the senatorial race,

Others who have shown interest in the gubernatorial to unseat Martin Wambora includes Runyenjes MP Cecily Mbarire, Former Transport PS Cyrus Njiru, World Bank Consultant Kithinji Kiragu, and Psychiatrist Peter Kumantha.

He was speaking at Kangaru Girls when he distributed bursary worth Ksh.3.5 Million to over 400 students in various secondary schools in the county.

Kivuti said that he has opted to donate all his salary to the needy and bright children under the Kivuti Foundation – money that will be used to pay school fees and other educational costs.
