Renowned Tanzanian gospel artist Rose Muhando has revealed shocking details of what her life has been like over the last few years that led to allegations of drug abuse and alleged devil worshiping.

The Kenya Ulindwe hit song star, speaking on Radio Citizen’s Jambo Kenya show on Friday morning, told hosts Vincent Ateya and Melody Sinzore that stories about her drug abuse and devil worshiping were “false”.

Muhando said that her former manager spread the drug abuse and devil worshiping allegations after she refused to have sexual relations with him.

(I did not want to be a sex slave and he (manager) started the scandal after I said no to his advances…)

Muhando also talked about her life being in danger as the people behind her misery tried to force her to accept things she didn’t want to mention on radio.

Kwani mara ngapi nimechukuliwa nikapelekwa milimani, nikapelekwa msituni nikawekewa bastola kichwani nikubaliane na kile ambacho sitaweza kulisema lakini nilikataa nikasema niko radi kufa lakini hata kwa dakika moja siwezi kubaliana na utumwa ambao walitaka kunitumikisha nao, siwezi!” she said emotionally. (I have had a gun pointed on my head and being forced to accept to do things that I cannot mention on radio…)

She recalled being called by Pastor James Ng’ang’a at the height of the scandals saying he wanted to pray for her and exorcise demons in her life in a now viral video.

The musician seems to be back on track having released three hit songs in a span of two moths.

She said her hit song Kenya Ulindwe, was dedicated to Kenyans to thank them for the support they had accorded her among them President Uhuru Kenyatta. She also told Jambo Kenya that Pastor Ng’ang’a, gospel singer Anastacia Mukabwa and businesswoman Esther Muchemi who sponsored her song Yesu karibu kwangu were some of the people who supported her the most.

Muhando also rubbished claims by Tanzanian gospel singer Essau Amani that she is his mother. Essau’s rise has been boosted by the fact that he branded himself as Rose Muhando’s son. She said none of her children are musicians.

Three anaitwa Milan,” she said. (Let me clear something; my first child is called Gift and is studying law, the second born is called Nicholas and he is studying Finance and the last born is Milan and she is in Secondary School.)
