I will be back to Kenya – Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama has promised to come back to Kenya as a private citizen after his term at the helm of White House expires next year.

Obama says that the Presidency has restrictions that do not guarantee him freedom of movement and association.

“I will be back to Kenya next time, maybe not in a suit. I would also come with Malia and Sasha. My family loves Kenya,” said the American President.

Obama arrived in the country on Friday evening and was received by President Uhuru Kenyatta, U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec and his sister Auma Obama among other top ranking dignitaries from Kenya and America for the Sixth Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

Ms Auma drove with the American leader in his official limousine, famously referred to as “The Beast” to a city hotel where they had dinner with the extended family including his grandmother Mama Sarah Obama.

Photos of the Obama family dinner time were shared on social media with the U.S. President visibly excited meeting them.

“It was wonderful to meet with them. Those that I have met in the past and some I met for the first time yesterday. Auma did well to introduce me and she ensured all relatives were well represented: cousins, aunties,” said Obama when responding to a question from a member of the press.

The American leader on Saturday morning officially presided over the opening of Global Entrepreneurship Summit which will end on Sunday. He will then leave for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia the same day (Sunday).
