I will not be cowed, Raila tells Govt
NASA leader Raila Odinga on Saturday February 10, said that he will not fear detention as he continues to fight for the rights of Kenyans.
” I will not be intimidated and I will continue to work as the ‘People’s President’ of the Republic of Kenya,” said Raila
Speaking during the burial of the father to ODM Director of Communication Philip Etale in Emsakhami in Vihiga County, the opposition chief castigated the country’s leadership for failing to respect court orders further accusing the ruling coalition of using the police to intimidate NASA leaders.
Raila who was speaking for the first time since the deportation of self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna’s to Canada, Raila termed the act as illegal since it was done contrary to issues by the court.
While responding to the recent gazette notice by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangí, Raila said the government cannot ban the movement as it is not yet registered.
Meanwhile NASA activist Miguna Miguna has vowed to challenge his deportation in court saying that his lawyers have already filed a petition seeking to invalidate his removal from Kenya.
