I won’t concede to Waiguru, Gitari – Kirinyaga Governor Ndathi
Kirinyaga County Governor Joseph Ndathi now wants the Jubilee Party nomination results nullified, arguing that the exercise was marred by massive electoral malpractices.
Provisional results for Monday’s Jubilee Party primaries show that the incumbent is trailing by far in the governor’s race – results that Ndathi has come out to refute strongly.
“Ballot papers were photocopied and they had no serial numbers. We also had two stations where polls not conducted,” lamented Ndathi.
Ndathi – who is contesting for Kirinyaga Countt’s top seat alongside Ex-CS Anne Waiguru, Kirinyaga Central MP Gachoki Gitari and Eliud Wanjau – vowed not to concede defeat, claiming the exercise was not free and fair.
Though the official numbers are yet to be announced, provisional results showed that Ndathi is trailing behind Waiguru and Gitari.
