ICC Prosecutors Office Accuses Kenya Of Withholding Information
The information includes phone records and ban statements and a list of assets owned by Uhuru Kenyatta in the period leading to the 2007 general election and after the post-election violence.
Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta left the country early today (7th October) to attend the Status Conference at The Hague
The prosecution said that the records it has do not represent Mr Kenyatta's phone records that it had asked for.
It added that the phone records are very partial and only had incoming calls and not outgoing calls
Speaking during a status conference called to discuss Kenyatta’s crimes against humanity case, the Attorney General Professor Githu Muigai defended the government.
He said that the ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, has failed to provide particular details, about assets in question for the government to facilitate, sourcing of needed information.
The prosecution wants the Kenyan government declared as non-compliant in the Kenyatta case.
