Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Thursday arrested an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) expert suspected to have hacked portals of various secondary schools in Meru County.

25-year-old Tobias Mnangala Sifuna, who has been serving as an ICT Board of Management (BOM) teacher in various schools, was nabbed in Nyandarua where he had gone into hiding.

According to detectives, the suspect manipulated the systems and fraudulently received over Ksh.300,000 in his account from parents who thought they were paying school fees.
