VIDEO: IEBC commissioners defend record in petition to remove them from office

IEBC commissioners on Tuesday strongly defended their record in office when they appeared before the National Assembly’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee where they dismissed the grounds of a petition filed by Nyukuri Barasa seeking the formation of a tribunal to probe their conduct and send them packing. The commissioners at times appeared emotional when dismissing a 2014 report by the Auditor General which Barasa relied on for his petition, that blamed them for the loss of public funds through the purchase of Electronic Voter Identification kits.
