IEBC has already started sabotaging 2017 polls Orengo

Siaya Senator James Orengo has alleged that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is plotting to rig the 2017 polls, adding that the poll body has already begun sabotaging the General Election.

Orengo alleged that IEBC is planning to employ the same tricks it used in the hotly contested 2013 election, pointing out that the poll body has prematurely kicked off the procurement of ballot papers.

“They have even ordered from companies to bring them ballot papers. Ballot papers don’t need to be ordered now,” Said Orengo

The Siaya Senator stated that the Opposition would only take part in the polls if they are assured that the exercise will transparent, free and fair.

“We either have proper elections or no elections,” said the Siaya senator, adding that his party would concede defeat if fairness is upheld in the voting exercise.

Orengo was speaking in Banandi Primary School in Funyula Constituency, Busia County, during the burial of area MP Paul Otuoma’s son.

The Senator and a host of other Opposition leaders present at the function took the opportunity to champion for the proposed National Super Alliance Coalition.

Amani National Congress leader, Musalia Mudavadi, said the alliance is the ‘biggest thing’ to ever happen in Kenya’s political sphere.

Promising that the outfit would wipe out corruption if they take office, Mudavadi said the alliance would prioritise development.

The former Deputy Prime Minister urged all Opposition parties to join forces with the National Super Alliance Coalition, saying that is the only to deny President Uhuru Kenyatta a second term in 2017.
