IG Boinett recommends prosecution of Pastor Nganga

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko has received a report in Pastor James Ng’anga’s case.

The report submitted by Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett recommended for prosecution of Pastor Ng’ang’a for causing death through reckless driving.

The report comes days after the televangelist was grilled at the traffic police headquarters in Nairobi over the crash involving his Range Rover car.

The Neno Evangelism Centre televangelist appeared before a team of detectives, led by Traffic Commandant Charlton Muriithi that had been tasked with investigating the crash which led to the death of a woman.

Kenyans on Twitter have in the past days led an online campaign with the hashtag #ArrestPastorNganga to push the police to arrest and prosecute the pastor over the accident which occurred along Nairobi-Naivasha road.

On Sunday, Pastor Ng’ang’a is said to have responded to calls by Kenyans to have him arrested by terming them as unfounded.

Pastor Ng’ang’a is also said to have cursed those who called for his arrest.
