Im a victim of forced hospitalization, kidnapped MCA says

A Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Kiambu County, who was reported missing a week ago, has resurfaced claiming that he was a victim of forced hospitalization.

Speaking on the floor of the Assembly on Wednesday, September 29, Gitothua MCA, Patrick Chege, said that he was kidnapped from a Church where he had sought asylum and subjected to an injection.

The Assembly Majority Leader claimed that he regained consciousness after over eight hours only to find himself at Chiromo Lane Hospital.

“I was seeking asylum in a Church in Ruiru when I was taken by three men and doctors who administered an injection into my body without my consent.”

“Honourable Speaker, please stop any person who thinks I am sick from subjecting me to forceful treatment. I am well and I do not want people rushing me to hospital claiming I am sick,” he said.

In his ruling, the Speaker directed the Sergeant-at-Arms to ensure the security of the MCA is guaranteed to give him time to execute his mandate.

The MCA was reported missing a week ago, days after he claimed that his life was in danger.
