I’m still a member of ODM- Otuoma
Funyula Member of Parliament Paul Otuoma now says he is in ODM to stay even after resigning as Vice Chair of the party.
Otuoma says he will not defect from ODM like former Secretary General Ababu Namwamba.
This comes after speculation that Otuoma would join Namwamba’s newly launched Labour Party.
“Sometimes we lose focus on what is important. When I resigned as Vice Chair, I was angry at Baba (ODM leader Raila Odinga). Sometimes someone gets angry, but problems in the family are resolved. I am still a member of ODM,” stated Otuoma.
Speaking during the funeral of former Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars coach James Sianga in Ugenya Siaya County, Otuoma backed ODM’s move to discipline rebel MPs saying those who have defected like Namwamba should resign as MPs.
“I know the only way to leave your party is to also leave your seat,” said Otuoma.
CORD leader Raila Odinga is among those attending the funeral ceremony.
