Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti arrested over rape claims

Mwiti was arrested and locked up at the Kileleshwa Police Station on Wednesday evening and is set to be arraigned in court Thursday morning.

The arrest was made after final results on tests that were to confirm the allegations came back positive, officials said.

Doctor David Muchiri, who allegedly helped the MP in conducting HIV tests on the journalist before the incident will be charged with aiding and abetting crime.
