Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti raped me, claims woman

The communications consultant, who works for one of Mr Mwiti’s business enterprises, the Kenya Land Sacco, claims she had gone to meet the MP at his office to discuss business matters.

However, the meeting that was meant to take place at 2pm was delayed till 8pm because the MP allegedly had another meeting with a delegation from Meru.

HIV TEST

When the meeting started, she was reportedly introduced to a doctor, something she didn’t find suspect till she was asked to take a HIV test.

“A doctor came in and I was introduced to him, it didn’t bother me until he said that I have to take a HIV test. I asked him why? He insisted but I refused, then he started beating me,” said the lady whose identity will remain concealed.

When Mr Mwiti’s tested negative for HIV, he allegedly demanded sex from the lady.

“I asked to go to the bathroom and tried to call my husband but they heard me so I tried texting him.”

Unfortunately for the woman, her husband did not know the office she was at so he couldn’t trace her.

Her ordeal at the hands of her perpetrator went on for hours, this despite the presence of the Member of Parliament’s aides outside the door.

Since the incident, the Imenti Central legislator is said to have been trying numerous times to settle the matter quietly with the family by calling incessantly both the lady and her husband.

“I have received calls even from a woman who claims to the MPs wife and another from his father, a man called Nyamu. They want us to settle but this won’t end here, it is obvious he has done this to other girls,” said the woman’s husband.

SOFT TISSUE INJURIES

Hospital records show she was admitted with soft tissue injuries on the lips, cheeks, chest and abdomen.

However, results for genital tests were normal, which according to doctors is expected for a woman who has given birth.

Swabs taken were negative for spermatozoa where only a DNA test can tie the perpetrator to the crime.

Efforts to reach the Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti Irea were futile as all our calls went unanswered.
