IN PICTURES: Body of the late Ken Okoth arrives at Moi Girls
The body of the late Ken Okoth on Thursday left Lee Funeral Home for the first funeral service at his Kibra Constituency.
Family and friends gathered at Moi Girls High School to pay tribute to a leader who has been described as phenomenal.
“Ken Okoth was in a class of his own in so many ways. He was not a conformist or an apologist. He was brave to share his health status and came back home for one last public function looking so frail. He suffered bravely. Go well bro. Kenya will miss your wit,” Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr said in his condolence message.
Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer on Friday last week at the Nairobi Hospital.
The body will be transported to Kasipul Kabondo constituency on Saturday for a funeral service at Rateng’ Secondary School at 10am.
Thereafter the family will be allowed to perform the final rights.
