Over 100,000 people have been left homeless and transport services paralysed following the ongoing heavy rains and subsequent floods across the country.

In Nairobi, two vehicles were swept away in Ruai while the Murang’a-Kiriani Road was rendered impassable after a mudslide from uphill covered part of the connector road.

The weatherman has also warned that the heavy downpour will continue in several places including Western Kenya, Central Rift Valley and parts of Eastern Kenya.
