In Pictures: Health workers at a Kerugoya hospital on strike

Hundreds of patients at a Kerugoya hospital in Kirinyaga were left unattended after health workers downed their tools.

According to the health workers, the government has failed to equip the Kerugoya County Referral Hospital and continues to ‘mistreat’ staff.

They took to the streets carrying placards that said ‘Rudisha casual workers’, ‘Heshima si utumwa’ and ‘Mistreated worker-Mistreated patient’.

The health workers eventually took their protest to the office of the Kirinyaga Central Deputy County Commissioner Daniel Ndege.
