IN PICTURES: Raila Odinga winds up Western tour
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga ended his week-long tour of Western on Friday having visited three of the four counties in the region.
The opposition leader toured Vihiga, Busia and Kakamega Counties, meeting ODM delegates, holding roadside addressing, and rallies in a bid to consolidate his support in the region. Only Bungoma County was out of the opposition leader’s schedule.
On Friday, Odinga was in Kakamega and started the day by meeting Wanga elders at the Nabongo Cultural Centre before holding a delegates’ meeting at the same venue.
The CORD leader, however, opted to cancel a roadside address he was to have at Mumias Bus Park after youth held protests at Shibale, just a short distance from the bus park.
Odinga, however, continued with other programmes, holding rallies at Shianda, slotting one at Bomani and holding the third and last rally at Musanda.
