Thousands of commuters have been left stranded following heavy rains pounding the Capital city.

Motorists plying Uhuru Highway, Waiyaki Way, Thika Road, Jogoo Road, Mombasa Road and other networks had difficulty navigating through the raging flood waters causing a huge snarl up.

Others had their cars stall in the middle of the waters while other were forced to wade through murky water to get to their various destinations.

Outside the city, many roads were rendered impassable as floods cut off roads and bridges. This was the situation on the Kajiado-Namanga road after River Isinya burst its banks.
