India Prime Minister Narendra Modi jets into the country

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi jetted into the country on Sunday afternoon for a two-day state visit.

His plane touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 4:35pm, and he was received by Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed and her Tourism counterpart Najib Balala.

PM Modi, who is accompanied by a delegation of at least 80 business leaders, is visiting Kenya on the final stop of his four-nation tour. He has visted Tanzania Mozambique and South Africa.

Modi is expected to visit the United Nations offices in Gigiri and later visit the University of Nairobi.

The Indian Prime Minister will also hold bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta before the two leaders address a joint press conference at State House in Nairobi tomorrow, Monday.

The visit to Kenya will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 35 years.
