Infinix ‘Beat ya Campo’ talent search edition goes to Thika

Giant cell phone manufacturer Infinix took to the streets of Thika on Friday July, 2019 for the inter-campus talent competition at the Mount Kenya University.

The event dubbed “Beat Ya Campo’ was graced by renowned Judge Masauti with special performances from the latest sound wave in the Kenyan industry the Ochungulo Family.

Speaking during the event, Infinix Brand Manager Zhiqiang Zhang said that while music is the greatest communication in the world and that Infinix understands the need to invest in the future of young people through their skill set and talents.

According to Zhang, the event is set to be the beginning of an even bigger project, a drive that will involve a donation of books by the students to Emmanuel children’s home in Kayole, Nairobi County.

The musical competition which incorporated students with musical talents from universities commenced in June 27, 2019 and is expected to go on until September 2019.

Otstanding participants took home numerous prizes such as mobile phones, cash, discounts from Infinix mall and a chance to represent their university at the round up event to be held at a later date.

The overall winner is set to sign a recording deal through Boomplay music, a digital music service developed by Tecno Mobile which aims to build the largest and most sustainable digital music ecosystem in Africa.

Infinix is known for its smart- mobile brands such as ZERO, NOTE, HOT, and HOT S series.

It is a brand that has established itself since 2013 after its launching, to empower its users through innovative technologies for them to stand out.
