Investigate NYS, Raila says

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has called for the investigation of the National Youth Service (NYS).

The former PM wondered why the allocation for NYS was increased this financial year to Sh25billion from Sh1 billion in the last financial year.

He said that he is not against NYS but he must question how the budgetary allocation to the department is being used.

Raila noted that the huge allocation to the service is raising eye brows since the funds allocated to the youth, women and Uwezo fund is meagre.

Speaking in Nyando Sub County, Raila accused the Jubilee Government of insincerity regarding NYS.

Nyando MP Fred Outa suggested that ODM MPs who supported Ann Waiguru be disciplined.

Outa said those in ODM and working with Jubilee Government must be expelled from the party, saying the party should approach the 2017 election as a unit.
