Ipsos: High Cost Of Living, Insecurity Most Problematic

This is according to the latest Ipsos Synovate opinion poll, which showed 38% of Kenyans felt life is getting harder, followed by 17% who feel insecurity is getting out of hand and 10% who are most concerned about unemployment.

The poll shows 59% of Kenyans feel general economic conditions for them and their families have worsened in the last 3 months with 36% of households having someone who has gone to bed hungry.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto’s performance ratings have dipped with healthcare rated jubilee government’s highest achievement followed by education, infrastructure and uwezo fund, even as 43% felt it has achieved nothing.

The poll was conducted between 28th April and 7th May 2014 through face to face interviews with 2,059 respondents across the country.
