Isaac Ruto: I Do Not Know JAP

Governor Isaac Rutto, who is also the chairman of the Council of Governors, said that he will not join the Jubilee Alliance Party as demanded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto among other leaders.

Rutto said that there were no consultations between the Jubilee Alliance and the United Republican Party (URP) on the formation of the party.

Speaking in Mulot, Bomet County, Rutto revealed that he never supported the candidature of Patrick Tutui of JAP in the Kajiado Central by elections since he does not believe in the newly formed party.

COURT CASE

JAP was brought up to ensure all parties under the ruling jubilee alliance coalition are dissolved to join the umbrella party.

On Thursday last week, High Court Judge Isaac Lenaola dismissed a case filed by Kajiado central voter Ntusero Naimaua, barring JAP from participating in the election.

In his court papers, Mr. Naimaua argued that JAP was no procedurally registered according to the Political Parties c

However, Justice Lenaola dismissed the claims allowing the Jubilee Alliance Party in the polls that were conducted on Monday.
