Isaac Ruto rubbishes claims he plans to join NASA

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has dismissed reports that he will join the National Super Alliance during the coalition’s first rally set for Saturday in Bomet.

Speaking on Friday at the Bomet Stadium while officiating public projects, Governor Ruto said his Chama Cha Mashinani has not joined any coalition, but added that he is ready to host NASA leaders on Saturday, adding that all presidential hopefuls are free to seek for votes from Bomet.

“Those visitors coming to Bomet are welcome, let them come and ask for votes. We are not going to zone any region this time into zones for any particular party; zoning is going to bring us chaos,” said Ruto.

The governor at the same time, accused Bomet County Commissioner Benard Leparmarai of colluding with Jubilee leaders to disrupt the Saturday NASA rally.

Ruto has been in the limelight for his criticism of the Jubilee Party, which was formed by parties in the Jubilee Coalition through which he was elected.

He is the founder of Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) Party.
