Isaack: Pursue IEBC Disbandment Under Constitution

The electoral body chairman has now stated that he is ready to leave office if the commission is disbanded through constitutional means.

Hassan further says that Cord leaders who are pushing for the removal of the independent and electoral commission officials from office should also use constitutional means to disband the electoral body.

Isaack was speaking during the commonwealth electoral network conference here in the city where he was appointed the incoming chair of the network’s steering committee.

Also present during the conference, commonwealth electoral network secretary general Kamalash Sharma said that the aim of the network is to ensure highest electoral standards in the 53 member states.
