A middle-aged man was on Wednesday sentenced to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of raping a 7-year old girl in Isiolo.
According to Isiolo Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai, the evidence presented was candid and sufficient to convict the rapist to life in prison.
Court documents showed that Hussein Kara Roba committed the heinous act at at Manyatta Taqwa on July 13 last year.
During the hearing, the court was also told how Roba accessed the victim’s house at 3am and found her sleeping in the sitting room.

As soon as he left the house, the minor screamed for help waking up the mother who found her bleeding from her private parts.
The girl was rushed to Merti Sub County Hospital where medics confirmed that she had been raped.
In the same court, two men: Abdinassir Jaro and Ali Adan, were jailed for 20 years and 10 years respectively for rape.
