Jaguar arraigned in court for causing death in Sagana accident

Local musician Charles Njagua aka Jaguar was today, April 10, arraigned in a Kirinyaga law court to answer into charges of causing death of two people along Makutano-Sagana Road on March, 21.

Director of Public Prosecution, Keriako Tobiko, had ordered for a swift investigation into the case regarding to who exactly was driving the car at the time of accident.

Eye witnesses insisted that a woman was in charge of the vehicle at the time of the accident while Sagana police report indicate that Jaguar was the one driving.

Appearing without a lawyer before the Baricho Law Court Principal Magistrate, Evans Kiago Njahua, the “Kigeugeu” hit maker pleaded not guilty over charges of reckless driving that led to the death of Joseph Maina Kairia and Mugo Mwangi on the tragic day.

He was released on a bond of Ksh 100, 000 or an alternative of Ksh 50 000 cash bail.

The case will be heard on June 08, 2017.
