Jaguar’s Range Rover kills two in grisly road accident

A car belonging to one of the biggest names in the Kenyan music industry, Kanyi Njagua popularly known as Jaguar, on Tuesday hit and killed two people along Sagana-Makutano road in Kirinyaga County.

According to eyewitnesses, the Range Rover vehicle, which was being driven by a woman, was heading to Makutano after it lost control and hit a motorcyclist and his passenger, killing them on the spot.

However, in a statement to the police, the ‘Kipepeo’ hit maker has since claimed to have been driving the vehicle contrary to what eyewitnesses say.

Jaguar on Thursday morning took to social media to express his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.

“My heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those affected. I would like to assure all concerned that due process of the law is being followed to amicably resolve this,” wrote the singer on his Facebook page.

Police said investigations into the matter have been launched and affirmed residents and family of the deceased that due cause of the law will be followed.

Currently, the vehicle is been detained at the Sagana Police Station for inspection.
