Jipange na Viusasa: First Ksh.100,000 weekly winner unveiled

The first weekly winner of the ‘Jipange na Viusasa’ promotion was unveiled on Monday in a live draw conducted in Westlands, Nairobi.

Mr. Sylvester N, — who lives in Nairobi and hails from Kakamega County — won Ksh.100,000 in the promotion which began a week ago.

The man expressed his delight in the win, saying he will inject the money into his small-scale quarry business.

“Hii pesa nitatumia kuboost biashara yangu ya quarry ili niweze kupiga mawe mingi na pia niandike watu wakunisaidia…(I will use this money to improve my business at the quarry), he said.

The unveiling of the first winner was announced live on Citizen TV and was supervised by the Betting Control and Licensing Board.

The ‘Jipange Na Viusasa’ promotion is rewarding the public for just consuming products on the Viusasa, which is the biggest premier video on demand platform in East Africa.

Kenyans stand a chance to walk away with Ksh.100,000 weekly or Ksh.1 million monthly with the grand prize being a whooping Ksh.5million.

“Jipange Na Viusasa is about combining the opportunity to win with a wonderful experience of viewing good content on the platform and getting entertained,” said Caroline Wanyama, Group Marketing Director of Royal Media Services.

Away from just video, ‘Jipange Na Viusasa’ has also taken care of subscribers with basic feature phones or as locally termed ‘Kabambe’ as they will be able to enjoy audio content while taking part in the promotion.

Users are required to dial *487# and select option one for audio or option two for downloading the application.

‘Jipange na Viusasa’ will run for the next three months.
