Joash Marube who murdered pregnant wife, 4yr-old daughter jailed for 30 years
Joash Marube who killed his pregnant wife and four-year-old daughter in cold blood has been sentenced to 30 years in jail.
He has been found guilty of the two murders that took place four years ago in Keroka.
His nephew Brian Rioba, testified that he saw the convict murder Asenath Kerubo (who was 8 months pregnant) and their daughter Naomi Nyatichi Joash.
Rioba had told the court how he saw his uncle and another man assault the woman.
“Marube slapped his wife before hitting her with an object while the other man hit her with a wooden plank,” Rioba said.
Mr. Joseph Chepkonga, an Investigative Officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) presented the wooden plank and the piece of metal as evidence.
He also presented rope believed to have been used to strangle Kerubo, a knife, a pair of shoes, a padlock and a jacket owned by the convict.
Judge Esther Maina’s ruling brings to an end the case that has been ongoing for the past four years.
