Joho lashes out at Jubilee over favouritism

Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho has lashed out at the Jubilee Administration over what he terms as sidelining opposition areas in development.

The recent tour by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in Central Kenya was the centre of attraction for ODM leaders at a rally in Bomani, Likoni where they accused the president of favouritism.

Joho questioned why the president would write off a Ksh2.3 billion debt owed by coffee farmers from the central region, but ask the Waitiki farm squatters to pay for their title deeds.

“When they go to their region they say they are on development tour, but when they come to coast they say they are on meet the people tour,” said Joho.

He also asked Jubilee leaders to show respect to CORD principal Raila Odinga and stop calling him names.

Joho was accompanied by several MPs and MCAs from Kilifi, Mombasa and Kwale Counties.
