Joho takes a swipe at Uhuru presser held parallel to NASA rally

Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to “tune in and watch NASA rally right after addressing a press conference at the Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani, Nairobi”.

In his press address Thursday, April 27 afternoon, President Kenyatta assured Jubilee Party primaries’ losers that the outfit will accommodate them in different capacities, thus should not lose hope in their political adventure, or ditch the Party.

Governor Joho, however, insinuated that the Head of State called the press conference to “compete for viewership against NASA rally, which was going on at Uhuru Park”.

“I hear that President Uhuru Kenyatta called a press conference to compete against our rally. I am asking him to finish the address and tune in to different media platforms to watch our rally. I am relaying the same message to Deputy President William Ruto,” said Joho.

Joho and Uhuru have been perceived as arch-rivals, who cannot see eye-to-eye, given their public display of disapproval of each other’s leadership.

NASA on Thursday, April 27, held a rally at Uhuru Park to unveil their Presidential line up.
