Join NYS, Ruto urges youth
Deputy President William Ruto has urged young people to join National Youth Service (NYS) in large numbers to help tame youth unemployment.
Ruto, who spoke during an event for the Ogiek at Marioshoni in Molo, urged the youth to avoid leaders who have no interest in improving their living standards
The Deputy President also urged all Kenyans to acquire the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to better manage their medical expenses adding the government had reduced monthly contributions from 500 shillings, to 200 shillings.
Speaking separately in Suswa, Ruto asked Narok County leaders to put aside their political differences to develop the region, coming amid a row between Governor Samuel Ole Tunai on one side and Senator Stephen Ole Ntutu and MPs on the other.
