Journalists save tear-gassed toddler in Nairobi
Journalists from different media houses put aside their tools of trade to help rescue a toddler who had trouble breathing after inhaling teargas during the anti-IEBC demonstrations at Uhuru Park.
The toddler and the mother are said to have been caught up in the melee and developed complications once they inhaled teargas that was lobbed to the demonstrators.
Nairobi County government banned any gatherings at Uhuru Park owing to the ongoing preparations at the venue for the 2017 Mashujaa Day on Friday.
The journalists offered the baby, who nearly collapsed as a result of the gas, and the mother some water.
The journalists offered water to the mother to wash her child’s face and drinking.
