Jubilee Administration abetting corruption, Raila says
ODM party leader Raila Odinga has accused the Jubilee Administration of abetting corruption that has been rampant in the country.
Mr Odinga, who spoke on Thursday during a one-day meeting to drum up support for his party in Isiolo County, said the Jubilee Government is incapable of tackling corruption.
The ODM leader who was accompanied by Junet Mohammed, Farah Maalim (former National Assembly deputy Speaker ), Ms Aisha Juma (Kilifi women representative) amongst other ODM leaders maintained that billions of shillings have been lost in the National Youth Service and the Euro Bond saga that could have been used to improve development in the country.
Mr Odinga called on Kenyans to vote out the Jubilee Administration for failing to fulfill their election pledges.
The ODM chief further challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to either stand up and fight corruption or leave office.
This comes amid public outcry following the alleged loss of Ksh5b in the Ministry of Health.
On Thursday, Health CS Cleopa Mailu was grilled for six hours at the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarters over the alleged Afya House scandal.
At the same time, his Principal Secretary Nicholas Muraguri was taken to task by the Senate Health Committee to explain why the ministry cut down the maternity budget from Ksh800 to Ksh530 million.
Meanwhile, Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru on Thursday appeared before the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee to answer on the alleged loss of Ksh1.67 billion at the NYS.
