Jubilee always fixing the wrong things: Anyang Nyongo

Kisumu Senator Anyang Nyong’o has said he will not be drawn into the International Criminal Court (ICC) fixing game that has threatened to divide the country along tribal lines.

In a statement to newsrooms, the Senator took issue with the Jubilee coalition in the manner in which it has driven the Deputy President William Ruto and radioman Joshua Arap Sang ICC fixing debate.

Nyong’o termed the ICC prayer meeting by the Jubilee coalition as ‘boring meetings to side track national attention from the collapsing economy whose fixing should be their first responsibility to Kenyans”.

“Jubilee leaders are always fixing the wrong things to the detriment of Kenyans. They fixed elections to sabotage our democracy and to put the wrong people in power,” read the statement.

“They fix deals all the time to grab land, increase our foreign debt and plunge us into the worst economic crisis since independence. Now they are afraid the ICC is just about to expose their fixing tricks that will no doubt lead to the collapse of their government.”

He added: “The simple truth is; I am not going to be drawn into this fixing game. My mother always tells me never to argue with a fool: people will not know the difference.”

Nyong’o challenged Kuria to explain to Kenyans his role in the Kenyan cases at the ICC and what he knows about the claims he made linking him and the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga to Ruto’s fixing.

Karua has since sued Kuria for defamation and wants the court to restrain him from further mentioning her in relation to the ICC cases.
