Jubilee MPs call on opposition to stick to IEBC issues only

The seven-member committee selected by the opposition to discuss the IEBC stalemate has been urged  to strictly stick to the terms of reference, and not to include any other agenda without Kenyan’s approval.

Manyatta MP John Muchiri and his counterpart from Runyenjes Cecily Mbarire, have said that the opposition was leading demonstration on IEBC and that by the members of the select committee trying to include any other agenda will not be supported by Jubilee.

“The main reason we decided to sit down and negotiate was to resolve the IEBC crisis but any other agenda such as moving from presidential system to Parliamentary system is not negotiable,” said Mbarire.

The two legislators said that it is high time for leaders and Kenyans at large to respect the Constitution since the committee will table its recommendations at the floor of the House for adoption or rejection by Parliamentarians.

The two MPs said that they will oppose any recommendations which will not be beneficial to Kenyans.
