Jubilee MPs push Kalonzo to ditch NASA in Ukambani vote hunt

A section of Jubilee MPs are now calling upon NASA co-principal, Kalonzo Musyoka, to ditch the opposition and join the ruling party now that Raila Odinga has withdrawn from the October 26 repeat poll.

The lawmakers said ditching National Super Alliance would allow the Wiper Party leader to team up with Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 State House race.

Speaking during a UhuRuto campaign rally in Ikanga, Kitui County, the leaders led by Kitui South MP, Rachel Nyamai, said that “Kalonzo is a great leader who has been misled politically by the Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.”

The Kitui South MP urged Kitui residents and the Kamba community at large to switch allegiance and support  Jubilee government.

Nominated MP Maina Kamanda, urged the Kitui voters not to heed to the opposition’s calls to hold demonstrations against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and instead focus on their duty to build the nation.

“Do not accept to demonstrate and vandalize infrastructures that are supposed to help you,” said the former Starehe MP.

Former MPs Elisha Busienei (Turbo) and Moses Sakuda (Kajiado North) described the former vice president as a sober politician who should not allow his good legacy be distorted by NASA political moves.
