Jubilee wants CJ to remove Justice Odunga from election cases

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party has now written to the Chief Justice, David Maraga, requesting for the removal of High Court Judge, George Odunga, from all cases involving the August 8 polls.

In a letter by Party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju, Jubilee has claimed Justice Odunga is allied to ODM and related to Siaya Senator James Orengo adding that the Judge has failed to disclose his links with Orengo in several electoral cases he has presided at the High Court.

Tuju has accused Justice Odunga of intending to midwife the electoral process to the advantage of the opposition.

Jubilee Party now wants the matter to be tabled before the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for more evidence to be provided show how the Judge is allied to the opposition.

Among the cases Jubilee claims Odunga favoured the opposition is the one that allowed CORD to engage in demonstrations that ultimately led to the removal of IEBC Commissioners last year.
